As an MCA you have been tasked with implementing the Technology Fee increase and G Suite Fee in your March Transmittal. The attached guide contains the instructions and details for you to successfully implement these changes. Key Details to Remember:

• The monthly $45/associate KWRI Associate Technology Fee will be drafted from Market Center bank accounts on April 11^thalong with Royalties, Profit Share, and other fees
• The monthly $5/associate G Suite fee for 70% of your associate roster will be drafted from the Market Center bank accounts on April 11^thalong with the Royalties, Profit Share, and other fees (see G Suite Explanatory Document attached below for details)
• Please consult with your OP and Regional Leadership on whether and how the Technology Fee increase and G Suite fee should be communicated to agents and potentially added to agent invoices

Associate Tech Fee Explanation

What is changing?

KWRI will begin billing the Market Center an additional $20/month per associate beginning with the
March data transmittal in April, bringing the technology fee per agent per month to $45. Additionally,
KWRI will be charging the Market Centers a G Suite Fee of $5 per associate per month based on
70% of the current month’s associate count.

Why?

During the Stakeholder meeting in Fort Worth in October 2022, the Market Center OPs voted to
continue to build and maintain control over our own technology in order to protect our agents. They
also voted and agreed to delay the Technology Fee increase to support this until March of this year.

When?

This change will go into effect March 1, 2023 and will be calculated based on the associate count at
the time of March transmittal. You can review the specific status combinations included in this calculation in Associate Status Combinations - WinMORE. 

Action Items:

• Meet with your OP to confirm how the Technology Fee and G Suite Fee are being handled in
  your Market Center and communicated to associates.
• If your Market Center is passing fees on to associates:
  • Edit your associate invoices AFTER February Transmittal in AccountEdge and AccountEdge Connect (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmlv5dk0R-E).
  • Update agreements to charge credit cards or bank accounts as applicable in your
    Market Center onboarding documents.
  • Send updated invoices to associates.
• Clean your roster to avoid paying fees for associates no longer affiliated with your Market
  Center regardless of production status (Your Market Center will be charged the G Suite fee
  based on a roster inclusive of AOs and POs).
• Complete the All Associates Download on March 21st Download All Associates and Statements.
• Load All Associates on March 21st Load All Associates.
• Print your Associate Tech Fee Report in WinMORE (Print --> Reconciliation Reports -->
  Associate Tech Fee) to use when updating your invoice to KWRI.
• Update your Invoice to KWRI to reflect the Technology Fee increase and the addition of the G
  Suite fee Create Initial Invoice to KWRI (AccountEdge), Create Initial Invoice to KWRI (Lonewolf).
  

Protocol for Teams

If your Market Center includes one or more Teams with more than 10 members, the Associate Tech
Fee will be capped at $450 per team/per location. Follow the steps below:

• Review the Team Spreadsheet. If a Team in your Market Center is absent from this
  spreadsheet, please update the Team Tool to add that team.
• Create a spreadsheet of teams with more than 10 licensed associates with each team on a
  distinct tab.
• The team roster tab should include each member of the team and their current status in
  WinMORE.
• For these teams, 10 of the agents should have the Activated Agent (AA) status, then for all of the other agents, set their status to Licensed Admin (AO) status in the Command MC Associates Applet AND in your spreadsheet.
  • To set an agent's status to Activated Agent (AA) status, activate the team member as an agent in the Associates Applet.
  • To set an agent's status to Licensed Admin (AO) status, after you activate the team member as an agent, edit their production status to Licensed Admin.
  • Once the statuses are correct in Associates, sync the change with WinMORE.
• Audit your team spreadsheet monthly, prior to transmittal, against your Team Tool.
  

Market Centers will be billed the $45 Associate Tech Fee per associate beginning in March 2023.

1. The monthly $45 KWRI Associate Tech Fee will be drafted from Market Center bank accounts
   on April 11, along with Royalties, Profit Share and other Fees. The new fee will be calculated
   automatically for active associates on transmittal.
2. Teams with more than 10 members will have an Associate Tech Fee maximum of $450 per
   team/per location. MCAs can manage this with a spreadsheet and using the AO status for
   any agents over 10 on a team.
   

G Suite Fee Explanation

This document is your reference for understanding the G Suite fee that will go into effect March 1, 2023. Additional details are addressed in the Knowledge Base in G Suite FAQs.

What is changing with the G Suite Fee?

KWRI will be charging the Market Centers a G Suite Fee of $5 per associate per month based on 70% of the current month’s associate count beginning in March 2023.

• The calculation will be based on 70% of the current month’s A and PO associate count regardless of production status. You can review the specific status combinations included in this calculation in Associate Status Combinations - WinMORE. 
• This G Suite Fee will appear as a separate line item on the Profit Share Calculation report.
• The G Suite Fee should be booked to account 2-2160 for US Market Centers. 
  
• The G Suite Fee should be booked to account 2216-0000 for Canada Market Centers

Why 70%?

We assessed current use of G Suite across every Market Center and determined that the average usage was 70% of associates.

• For Market Centers with fewer than 70% of associates using their G Suite account, a refund will be processed on a quarterly basis beginning in Q3 of 2023.
• For Market Centers with more than 70% of associates using their G Suite account, no additional fee will be assessed.
  

How is the 70% calculated?

The 70% is calculated based on your associate roster regardless of production status. This includes

• All A statuses including A/O.
• All PO statuses including PO/S.
  

Vested Retired (VR) and Removed (R) associates will not be included in these calculations.

How do I find out my roster count?

1. Follow the instructions to Print and Review Associate List including all A and PO statuses as a .txt file.
2. Import the txt file to Excel.
   

Who do we charge for the G Suite Fee?

Please consult with your OP on how you will assess the G Suite fee and relay that information to your
associates.
