Typically when you get the I/O error message it means that the initial import was done incorrectly. For example you selected the wrong file, the wrong import type or the defaults were incorrect.
Close down AccountEdge and KWAR fully. Wait a few minutes and retry following the instructions again to make sure that all the settings are correct for the import.
Make sure the file you are selecting is not open or in use in another program.
