Associate Entry: Reactivating a Vested Associate

Before you begin, let's be sure that you are following the right instructions to meet your onboarding needs:

1. Is this person new to KW - ever - as in they've never been affiliated with KW - not even 20 years ago? You'll need to move forward with the instructions in Associate Entry: Adding a New Associate to WinMORE. 
2. Is this person dual affiliating (active in two or more market centers), transferring from another market center to yours, or returning to KW, even if they were previously with another market center somewhere else? You'll need to move forward with the instructions in Associate Entry: Adding or Transferring an Existing Associate. Be sure that you also complete the Associate Transfer Process; this includes transferring VRs to their new market center.
3. Is this person in VR status in your market center right now? Then please proceed with the instructions below.  

To Welcome a Returning VR Associate to Your Market Center

The process of activating a Vested Retired associate depends on which market center holds the current VR record.

If the associate is in your market center WinMORE system:

To change a Vested Retired associate back to an Active Associate,

Step 1: change their status from VR/D to A/A in the Enter - Associates screen in WinMORE, even if the associate is retuning into a staff or administrative position; the initial reactivation requires the A status.

Step 2: tab through each information field on all three tabs, even if you make no updates, is necessary to change the White Pages role from Vested Retired back to Active.

Step 3: once you have confirmed the associate's active profile in White Pages with the Agent role, you can update the WinMORE to status PO if appropriate.

The associate will not be able to access Command, KWConnect, or mykw.kw.com until you can observe their active role in your market center in their White Pages entry.

If the associate is vested in another market center WinMORE system:

Follow the steps for The KW Joining Portal Workflow (Returning to KW Associate Entry).

NOTE: An associate should not be vested retired (VR) in one market center while being active in another. When you reactivate a Vested Associate from another market center, the transfer process should be followed to move the associate from their VR market center to yours. Obtain the transfer form from the VR market center and submit following the instructions on the form.
