Agents can be active in more than one Keller Williams Market Center. If an associate is looking to be added to more than one Market Center in the same region, consult with your Managing Broker or Broker of Record to ensure that it is in compliance with state and area rules/regulations.
When an associate who is already on another Market Center's roster is ready to join your Market Center, there is an easy way to add them to your Market Center without them having them go through the KW Joining Portal process.
The associate will show on your Duplicate Associates list in both Market Centers, and will remain on the duplicate associates report until they are removed from one of the Market Centers.
Be sure to review the Associate Transfer Process to ensure that you provide all of the necessary reports to the new market center.
Be sure to review and begin Tracking Caps Across Multiple Market Centers to ensure that dually affiliated associates are not overcharged on royalty.
Which MC Charges the Associate?
When you have a dually affiliated associate, it is important to review the Duplicate Associate Report monthly to confirm which market center charges the associate for different fees collected by KWRI:
- Associate Tech Fee - The Market Center most recently joined will charge the Associate Tech Fee; all other Market Centers will change the Associate's Production Status to Licensed Admin (A/O in WinMORE) following this process: Edit an Activated Agent's Production Status
- Commercial Fees - the market center with the most recent enroll date as shown on the Duplicate Associate Report will collect the commercial fee, even if the associate does no commercial business through that market center
- Annual Renewal Fee $25 - the market center with the most recent enroll date as shown on the Duplicate Associate Report will collect the $25 annual renewal fee, even if the most recent enrollment date is in status VR
- KWRI Awards - the market center with the most recent enroll date as shown on the Duplicate Associate Report will have full visibility into the associate's full awards verification statuses, even if some qualifying transactions are booked in another market center. For example, an associate who is individual in once market center and on a team in another will appear to be incorrectly listed on both the individual and team awards reports; when you see this happen, please consult your Duplicate Associate Report and pull the associate's Associate Production Report > Sales Transaction Detail to review and verify that each status is correct.
- Family Reunion Registration (for awards and medallions) - the market center with the most recent enroll date as shown on the Duplicate Associate Report will be the market center attached to the associate's awards and medallion status. In these situations, the associate must enter the market center number with the most recent enroll date in order for the market center to automatically receive the associate's awards medallions and not have to purchase it at an additional cost later. If the associate believes themselves registered and has the most recent enroll date in your market center but does not appear on your Family Reunion roster, please assist the associate in editing their registration to name your market center for affiliation; this must be completed before December 31 in order for the medallion to be automatically sent to your market center at no extra charge.
Unique Features in Reporting and Team Rosters
- Monthly and YTD Rankings Report - the market center with the most recent enroll date as shown on the Duplicate Associate Report will show the associate's combined production and the associated ranking on the monthly and YTD Rankings Report. To adjust this locally, please use the Associate Production Report > Sales Transaction Detail to calculate the associate's GCI/units in your market center only.
- Team Rosters in the Team Statistics Portal - the market center holding the team (when applicable) should review the team roster as posted in the Team Statistics Portal to confirm that the associate's MORE ID matches the market center holding the team. If you find that the MORE ID is for another market center, please remove the associate from the team and re-add them the next calendar day; review the team roster in the Team Statistics Portal to confirm that the MORE ID reflects the correct market center holding the team.
