Each workstation that will be accessing WinMORE needs the network drive mapped and the shortcut to WinMORE added. When mapping your Network WinMORE it is important the drive letter assigned as ‘W’ to the shared NetMORE folder on the server.
Step 1: Map the Network Drive
- Click on the Windows Button
- Select Computer
- Select Map Network Drive
- Select the W drive and enter your server name\netmore in the folder field (assuming your server is shared at the NetMORE level)
- Place a checkmark next to Reconnect at Logon and select Finish.
Step 2: Place the WinMORE 3.0 Shortcut on the Desktop
- Open your new w:\Winmore3 folder
- Locate the WinMORE 3.0 shortcut.
- Right click on the WinMORE3 shortcut
- Select send to desktop.
Step 3: Update the Path of the Shortcut
- Right click on the shortcut
- Select properties.
- Change the target and Start in path to the W: drive.
**If your new shortcut does not have the WinMORE icon:
- Right click on the shortcut
- Select properties.
- Click on Change Icon.
- Click on Browse
- Navigate to the WinMORE3\icons folder.
- Scroll to the MORE.icon
- Left click on the MORE icon file to select it
- Select open
- Click OK to close the change icon box and then OK again to close the properties box.
Step 4: Setting User Permissions
- Enable "Run as Administrator":
- Right click the MORE shortcut
- Select Properties
- Click Advanced
- Check the run as Administrator checkbox
- Click OK/Accept
