In most cases once a Royalty Anniversary date is set it cannot be changed.
For vested associates, the royalty date is fixed, permanent, and cannot be changed for any reason. This can affect a returning associate separated for more than 9 months (calculated as 10 full transmittals) and in R or VR status. These associates may be in R or VR status as an associate's vesting date is not recorded in WinMORE for market center leadership to use in confirming vested status. If the Start Month Year is more than 3 years in the past, it becomes more likely that the associate is vested and will required a royalty date correction to return their vested and permanent royalty anniversary date. Contact MCASupport@kw.com with the associate's full name and full 7-8-digit MORE ID for assistance.
For non-vested associates, there are 4 specific exceptions to this rule:
1. Agent closed a deal within the first month they joined. Anniversary dates are normally the month following the date an associate joins. If the agent has a closing in the first month, their anniversary date should be set to the month they join so they get credit for the royalty in that first month. When you post a DA in the Associates first month, WinMORE will prompt you to change the anniversary date. This MUST be updated prior to transmitting the associate for the first time.
2. Married Couples - A couple that files a joint Federal tax return is eligible in the KW system to share one Royalty Cap. For a couple to share a royalty cap, the royalty anniversary dates must be the same. In many cases the couple joined at different times and therefore have different anniversary dates and the couple has the choice to use either associate's anniversary date. 3. Returning Associates that have been gone over 9 months and were not vested. - contact MCASupport@kw.com with the associate's full name and full 7-8-digit MORE ID for assistance.
4. Staff member becomes licensed after joining. When a staff member decides to become licensed after joining KW, their anniversary date should be changed to match the month they became licensed. - contact MCASupport@kw.com with the associate's full name and full 7-8-digit MORE ID for assistance.
Market center leadership (not even MCAs) have the permissions to look up in White Pages associates who are in R or VR status in WinMORE, even for their own market center. MCAs will need to reach out to MCASupport@kw.com for assistance with researching and confirming an associate's vested status and correct royalty anniversary date.
