Negative adjustments to Profit Share are due to an adjustment on the originating agent's closed Company Dollar. This can happen when
- a deal closed in the prior month for that agent has to be adjusted the following month due to an error (i.e. a missing referral fee).
- a company dollar transfer between market centers is not fully completed within the correct period (i.e., the company dollar is collected from the associate, transferred by DA and ACH, and received by DA and ACH all in the same transmittal month)
Since the impact to the MC is a lower company dollar contribution, the effect to the original amount of profit share that was paid is a negative adjustment.
Please note, KWRI will never draft funds from a bank account for profit share negative adjustments. Instead, the amount will show as a negative number on the associate's profit share statement until enough profit share is earned in subsequent months to cover the negative adjustment. After the negative amount is "paid off", deposits to an associate's bank account will resume.
