Expansion networks are tracked within KW Reporting and other systems by grouping teams from multiple market centers together by TEAM ID.
The MCA of each market center must create a team (if none exists) or update an existing in the CommandMC Team Management Tool, add any team members from that Market Center to the team, and report the TEAM ID to expansion@kw.com. A team needs to be set up even if there is only one individual on the Expansion Team since we group by teams.
If the team already exists in Command MC, do not create a new team for expansion, just report their existing TEAM ID. |
PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE TEAM ID
The TEAM ID is unique to every team. Each Market Center is responsible for reporting the TEAM ID for the team they need linked to expansion reports. The TEAM ID is located in the URL bar of the team tool not in the team information screen. Not providing the TEAM ID will result in a delay in your request.

New Expansion Network Setup (HUB)
In order to establish a new Expansion Team, the team must have an approved Expansion Business Application. The application is located at KW Connect > Growth > Expansion.
The MCA of the HUB market center submits a request to expansion@kw.com for new expansion teams to be created. The request must include the following:
- Expansion Agent/Owner Name and MORE ID
- Expansion Network Name (if different from expansion team name)
- Expansion HUB Team Name as recorded in the Team Tool (the exact name as it appears in the Team Tool with no alterations or abbreviations)
- Market Center number for the new Expansion HUB team.
- Expansion Network Start Date
- Completed Expansion Business Application
Once all items have been received the request will be submitted internally to activate the team for reporting purposes.
Adding a new Expansion Team SPOKE to an Existing Expansion Network:
In order to add an expansion team to an existing expansion network, the team must have an approved HOST Market Center Operating Agreement. The agreement is located at KW Connect > Growth > Expansion.
The MCA of the Expansion Team Market Centers must create the team in their market center team tool (if no team exists in that market center) or update the existing team name by adding the extension "powered by [name of expansion]" and then submit a request to Expansion@kw.com to add that team to the Expansion Network. The request must include the following:
- Expansion Network Name
- Expansion Team Name as recorded in the Team Tool (the exact name as it appears in the Team Tool with no alterations or abbreviations)
- Market Center number for the new Expansion SPOKE team.
- Expansion Team Start Date (date the team joined the expansion)
- HOST Market Center Operating Agreement
Even when there is only one expansion associate in the SPOKE market center, the MCA will create or update the team in the Team Tool and add the one associate as the Rainmaker.
For a newly created team, please CONFIRM the Expansion Team Start Date and the date may be back-dated. To ensure all production is properly allocated to the Expansion Team please double check this date with the Team.
Once we have this request, it will be submitted internally to add the team for reporting purposes.
Terminology:
Expansion Agent (Owner): The Expansion Agent owns the business. He or she is the businessperson with the vision to create a real estate empire across multiple Market Centers. An Expansion Agent has a sales team in at least one additional Market Center.

For example, “The Expansion Group” is the Network name and the Expansion Team is named “The Gordon Team with The Expansion Group”.
Expansion SPOKE Team: The Expansion Team is the local sales team, generally consisting of at least a listing assistance and buyer agent that the Expansion Agent sets up in an additional Market Center. The focus is solely on lead generation and sales.
