This error is generated when the program has encountered corruption in your company file. Corruption is caused by an unexpected closure of the program while a record was writing to the data file. Some causes of corruption can be power spikes, power outages, bad sectors on the hard drive, computer freezes or shutting down the computer while the AccountEdge program is open, or any drop in your network connections.
If you receive a message like this, you need to Optimize your company file, and then Verify to ensure there are no errors in the company file. If the Optimization is not successful, you will need to restore your last "clean" backup.
