Market centers with multiple staff working simultaneously in AccountEdge may purchase additional user licenses for AccountEdge.
The market center will need to purchase a workstation license for additional users. This is a one-time fee for KW offices. The charge is for each additional workstation added to the system.
A Market Center can see how many workstations it is licensed for by going into Setup, Company Information, and you will see the number of workstations licensed for that serial number. A MC only needs another workstation license if there are going to be two people working in AccountEdge at the same time. A lot of times, the MCA has an assistant that only needs to be in AccountEdge when the MCA is away. In that case, no workstation license is required because the single-user version is allowed to be installed on as many computers as needed. The single-user version of the software will automatically not allow more people into AccountEdge at the same time than their workstation license allows, so the MCA staff would have to coordinate their workflow.
