To deactivate/inactivate multiple customer cards at once in AccountEdge, follow these steps:
- Export your Customer cards to Excel
- Go to File > Export > Cards > Customer Cards
- Click Continue
- Click Match All
- Click Export
- Save the file to your PC
- Open the text file in Excel
- Open Excel
- Click Open
- When searching for the text file to open, choose All Files option from the drop down next to the File name field.
- Find the text file and click Open
- In the Text Import Wizard box, click Next, Next, and then Finish
- In the Excel sheet, mark the Card Status field with a ‘Y’ for inactive for all customers you wish to inactivate
- Save the file as a Text (Tab delimited) (*.txt) file
- Import the card list back into AccountEdge (make sure to choose the Match All option when importing)
- When presented with a message regarding duplicate records, choose the following option:
