This error is most frequently seen during the All Associates download (step 1) when receiving the updated associate record and profit share tree files from KWRI on the 21st. The script box of the download will list an Error 3, which is a reference to this handshake error.
A handshake error would indicate that it is sending the inquiry to our server but never seeing the response. Please consult with your local IT person. Your local firewall is blocking the connection.
The following ports would need to be open to both incoming and outbound traffic on the firewall. Ports 21, 989, 990, and 50,000 - 52,000. Communication starts on port 21 and the switches for the actual data transfer.
Your IT person can confirm that the firewall is the issue by temporarily bypassing the firewall and trying the AA or Transmittal upload process.
