NOTE: if you are running Windows 11 on any of the computers with WinMORE, you will not be able to successfully complete the renewal until you have your IT service roll back to Windows 10. |
Just before the 10-year anniversary of your market center's adoption of WinMORE multi-user, you are likely to receive this pop-up message when you open WinMORE:
This is an alert only and is not an error message.
To Disable the Alert
- Clear the license expiration message. It can take 8-10 times clicking the OK button to remove the pop-up and allow WinMORE to finish opening.
- Make sure all other users are logged out of WinMORE. You can check this under Setup - User Display. Only your workstation should show having WinMORE open.
- Go to Setup - Download Network License.
- Once the file is downloaded, Close WinMORE
- Navigate to the WinMORE3 folder.
- Locate the WinMORE Serial Install.bat file (yes, 2012 is the correct file date). Right click and select Open.
- If successful, a command prompt will show stating 1 file has been copied. Take a screenshot of this screen. Then click the space bar.
If these steps are not successful,
- make sure all users are logged out of WinMORE
- confirm that you have WinMORE set on your local computer to Run as Administrator (Properties > Advanced > Run as Administrator > Click Apply and Save)
- repeat the steps above.
You may also need to reboot your server if necessary.
In some cases these steps are not successful in completely disabling the alert; please continue to follow Step 1 each time you open WinMORE to clear the alert and move into WinMORE.
License Extension Activation Codes
Each month after the transmittal period has ended, market centers whose WinMORE multi-user license is expected to expire in that month will be sent an updated license activation code and instructions.
This will disable the alert.
If you run into any challenges completing these instructions or receive an error message, be sure to send a screenshot of the error to MCASupport@kw.com for assistance.
